Finalists Chosen

 

Four finalists were chosen during the hotly contested semi-final round Monday night (8/18/08) for the second annual Xpress Talent Search, sponsored by Helena's Xpress Singers and Mountain West Bank.

The finalists will perform at the Xpress Singers' annual show, September 27 at Helena Middle School, and the winner will be chosen by audience vote.  He or she will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
    
Judges of the preliminary auditions were:  K.J. Olsen, last year's Talent Search winner; Cory Wood, radio personality from B104; Lisa Schafer-Rau, local actor and singer; Dennis Rau, local actor and singer; Les Cramer, director of Helena's Presbyterian Church Choir; and Roger Morton, director of the Xpress Singers.  Helena's Talent Search is based on television's American Idol.
 
The Xpress Singers, members of the international organization Sweet Adelines, have been performing around the Helena area for over 35 years for community events, conventions, parties, nursing homes, and produce a stage show for the people of Helena every fall.
